THE NEW HOUSE
On the 22nd of October, the Dhamma Group a.s.b.l. signed the purchase contract for the house located at 22, route de Floreffe at Rivière. Thanks to your help, the first stage of the refurbishing project of the Theravada Buddhism Study and Meditation Centre was completed in March 2010. You will find pictures by clicking on each link. We are now engaged in the second phase of the project, beginning with the installation of a new kitchen. |
YOUR DONATIONS: You support has been generous and enthusiastic. It has manifested itself in the form of donations in skills, in money and in equipment.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS : Your donations have allowed the launch, since October 2009, of several building and refurbishment works. Some have been completed, others are ongoing. |

OUR NEEDS : We need you to complete the refurbishments of the house, to reimburse the loan, and to cover the running costs which we will have to pay each month from now on. |

• Electrical wiring completely renovated
• Refurbishment of the attic into a flat (let since March 2010)
• Installation of two bathrooms, in the attic and the first floor (showers, toilets, sinks)
• Oil central heating installed throughout the house
• The old cistern in the cellar has been dismounted and removed
• The painting is progressing very well throughout the house
• The rooms are being furnished (beds, mattresses, curtains)
• A parlophone has been installed
• The interior side of the back door has been walled
• Work on the ceiling is progressing well
• The plumbing is practically finished
• Work on the equipped kitchen on the ground floor is now in its next stage
